welding rearend axle seats

And pinion angle.... should i install the bed or does it really matter?

Yes!
Install everything first and set the pinion angle with the suspension loaded and then weld the axle perches in to place.

Okay thanks, ive read and asked a few people online...but a friend of mine was telling me doing so was unnecessary....it didnt seem right and before i did so just wanted some more clarification.

Tools I used was a tape measure, two rafter squares and a degree finder. I used the rafter squares on the outside of the perches to get a true measurement to clear the center of the differential. All went smooth and was a great fit. IIRC one of the perches was about 1/8" off but that is fine in my book, I am not too picky :-). Good luck.

I've always heard you set the ride height ( by jack stands or springs) and set your 3 degrees pinion angle and weld on! does any one make brackets for a 14 bolt coil spring setup??? I can weld just to lasy to make my own brackets!
