Broke my new speed warning (Sorry John)

I bought a speed warning cluster this weekend from a local board member.

On all my other gauges I blow them entirely apart and then airbrush the components as needed. The speed warnings are a fair bit more complicated, however. I got it home, took it apart, restored the pieces, airbrushed the needles, etc. Looked great.

In the final step of reassembly the clock spring (the one that winds around the main shaft and ultimately makes contact with the peg on the warning needle) broke.

So while it still -looks- great, which is probably all I really care, I can't bring myself to use one that won't work. Do I have any options here except finding a new head? TBONE said he might have a needle, but not sure.

Somewhere I imagine there's a junk speed warning that doesn't need its needle, but good luck finding one...
