Finally Found a 1972 K20

My first post. Lots of work to do, as she has sat for 8 years. Picked her up on Thursday. The body is pretty good given the age. The engine is 98% original with only a few parts missing. Lots of interior work to do, not to mention getting her running. Oh, and original 16.5 inch rims/tires. Needless to say I'm a happy camper for my $700.00 investment. Wish me luck!

Welcome to the board & congrats on your new truck! Love those K20s. 16'5s are getting pretty hard to find, do you plan to switch, maybe to 16s? Lots of tire choices there...

Going to 16 inch wheels. Most likely simple steel original style and hubcaps if I can find them.

Just an FYI, bf Goodrich all terrains are still readily available in 33 and 35 inch tires for 16.5 wheels. And Humvee surplus 37s are easy to find as well. Sweet truck!

Re: Finally Found a 1972 K20

Sorry to hijack a little, but are the 16.5s desirable? I've got about 10 of them I'm considering scrapping out

Re: Finally Found a 1972 K20

I forgot to mention, I got from the original Owner. Here's the worst part, but I still love the truck, something I've wanted since the 70's:

Re: Finally Found a 1972 K20

Sure the interior looks rough but no matter what you'd be replacing most of it anyway.

Looks like a good start. How's the rust spots? Get that floor mat out and see what you got
