6.0 swap Gas Tank
I'm doing a 6.0 engine/trans swap (2007 Silverado-donor) to my 1970 Suburban. I have the gas tank out of the 2007 pickup but It won't fit my '70. What have you guys done for a gas tank? I don't mind getting an aftermarket tank and pump but have searched the net with no luck so far. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: 6.0 swap Gas Tank
http://vaporworx.com I used the RetroWorx kit and installed a factory 2005 truck fuel pump module into my tank. Now I built a custom tank, but you should be able to add this to a factory tank. They use a Cadillac fuel pump but the tuck one is taller. Check out the build thread in my signature for a few pictures...
PS: there is a specific section for all LSx swap questions.. more info in there ... http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/f...play.php?f=206 Last edited by mcmlxix; 08-28-2014 at 01:25 AM. Reason: added link |

Re: 6.0 swap Gas Tank
I used a tank out of an 87 G10 Van. Got it off Ebay for $82 shipped. Used the original sending unit, but swapped out the pump for an EP381 AC Delco. The pump fits right in there, the tank needed a little bit of trimming. and I grabbed the brackets from a junkyard one.
