Coil Spring rear on 85'

Has anyone on here ever used the truck arm conversion on their square from CPP? I am in the process of installing mine and was just wondering if anyone has done it, and what they thought about it?

I looked at the post and at the attached article and am asking myself why would you install this?

You aren't any lower than a axle over flip? It is not as adjustable as a four link? You still aren't going to turn your square body into a road hugging pro touring machine with this kit. I don't get it? Chevy kept this technology in there g body's into the 80's. Every heard of the the term "G Body Shuffle" it is not a good thing just my 0.02. The old NASCAR reference I am not buying it. When was the last time your square body went over 50 mph for more than 10 minutes?

IMO spend your money on a good four link if that is what you want.

Especially with those long control arms. I don't think any expensive 4 link could compare in ride quality. I have always wanted to do this to a car.

Post up some pictures during your install. I'm in the middle of putting a porterbuilt conversion on mine. I might can help some but not if its a specific question about that kit.

Mine is very adjustable, bags, 4 positions for the trailing arms to connect to the crossmember, the trailing arm length, 3 postions for the the panhard bar along with the length of it.

An I thought G-bodys had a triangulated four link with stamped steel arms?

I drive my truck alot it spends most of its time over 50 mph unless I'm in town....

Currently, I have the C-notches installed, shock crossmember installed, I am going to get the trailing arm crossmember installed this coming weekend....Hopefully...LOL
