Finally moved under its own power!
Still have 20+ things to do on it, but it runs and drives and idles smoothly at 650. 16 inHg vacuum. Doesn't leak. Doesn't overheat. Didn't catch fire :-)
Very happy after about 2 years that it can at least move! Not the best photo but as soon as I as confident it was running right I had to pull it out and take an outdoor photo finally!

Re: Finally moved under its own power!
Thanks! When I look back at pictures of them in the original white I think being chrome really takes the bulk out of them. There were kind of like extensions of the cab before, now they're a separate item. To me, anyway.

Since I wasn't on a schedule, even though I sometimes didn't want to, I took the long approach or redid things so that I knew they were right (or at least right enough for me to think they were right). Sort of the opposite of the weekend thrash to get something back together for work on Monday where a couple extra spacer washers and a zip-tie will "hold 'er for now!".

Re: Finally moved under its own power!
Excellent Dave. Very nice truck and I love the way you did it. It is an awesome feeling when they move on there own power.
Looking forward to some more photos. Take care, tom
