Transmission debate/decision
My truck (1970 c10) currently has a turbo 350. Needs rebuilding. A guy at work has a '68gmc with 3 on the tree. I am considering trading him my trams and colum for his. Anyone done this? Is it as simple as trading trams and column and proper linkage, adding his clutch petal (that I assume attaches to the brake pedal mount). Changing out flywheel on engines, and that's all I can think of. What am I missing here? This sounds simple. Do we need to swap cross members and drive shafts too?

Re: Transmission debate/decision
Bell housing and clutch all the clutch linkage including bell crank and bracket that mounts on the frame not sure the cross member may be different too.
