Need advice on a possible project
First off thanks for any advice given. I spent 4 years as a auto tech for audi in my 20's before switching careers so I have a good base. I have built a few BBC's and pontiacs but always wanted to do an LS swap. I came across this abandoned project and it seems like a good start. Please give it a read and give me your opinion on whether it seems like a good project. Also how much work and parts are left.
"Texas truck longbox fleetside project truck. It has mostly original paint with nice patina.I have a new complete floor for it to replace the rusted one.Cab corners are good but will need rockers.4.8 litre LS mounted in with 4l60 trans. Will need to be wired up and fuel system done" After talking to him a bit he has these parts to include "the A arms and spindles with the rotors and calipers and the rear end out of the same 71 truck. I have the booster, master and mount for disk brakes so basically the brake system is there except for the prop valve and lines. I have a matching automatic column. I have the floor and rockers. The cab corners are good on the truck. I have a mint rad cradle with the battery box. I have a good used duel exhaust system that was on my own 67 and I have trailblazer SS manifolds so it fits perfect around the frame. I have the fuel pump, AC pump and all the brackets and pulleys out of the 2000 truck and the wiring harness and ECM. I have basically everything I could take from the donor truck that I thought might be useful" |
