re power steering for a 69 gmc
Hi all
I am in the process of swapping/building my truck , i have a ls3 and a 6 sp from a 2010 ss camaro that are going in. My truck has a manual steering gear that has to go, what are my options? I found a stock replacement power box and a kit form summit racing 'SUM-G3160" that i think will let me hook up the new style gm power steering/hoses pump to the old style power box, any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks sean |

Since you don't currently have a power steering box you can use the truck one from like 1979-87 that already has the 0-ring style hoses and you won't have to adapt anything.

Do any early c10 in the 80" s 2 wd will work?
So for example, if I order a power box for A 84 2wd pickup, it will bolt on and work? |

I have a 1970 power steering box on mine and I had to adapt it from Flare to O-ring which was super easy, but the 1979-87 power steering box is O-ring style so it should bolt right up. Last edited by Xeen; 09-05-2014 at 12:03 PM. |
