Header info please

I have a 71 Chevy C10 on a GMC frame with a 454. I have long tube headers on it now, but once I drop it, they will only have 1 inch of ground clearance. Does anyone know what shorty headers will work best for my application. I need to get the exhaust in between the frame rails. Thanks in advance

Re: Header info please

I've heard people use Chevelle headers rather than truck headers.

Check this pic out for comparison...

Sanderson C5's fit and they will stay between the upper and lower flanges on the frame.

Re: Header info please

Thanks for the info guys. I'll look into the sets you spoke of. It seems like I pick an upgrade that I want to make, and it snow balls into 3 other mods that need done at the same time. Better get some OT at work haha

Thanks again

Re: Header info please

Hedman also makes C10 specific mid length headers as well.

Vidman, do you have a part # or link for the Hookers you bought?

Thanks in advance.
