Chevy dealership score!!

Stopped at bairel chevy here in Pittsburgh PA to pick some stuff up and just for the hell of it I asked the parts guy if there was any odd chance they had a NOS gm tailgate for a 86 chevy k10. Well he didn't have one there but he searched the chevy dealers database and found me one at davis motors chevrolet in MN. I called davis and the parts guy wanted to get rid of it so badly that he dropped the price from $475 to $356 with $50 shipping to PA. Said he would package it up and ship it today.

Whew, for a tailgate and that price I think I'd just chance an LMC unit but that's me. I've got one for my square body S-10 that's fine.

Nice. Do you by chance remember cruising up 19 headed toward Wexford next to a bright orange lifted K20, sitting on 38's? This was a few years ago. There aren't that many of our trucks around there, and yours looks familiar.

Yup, I remeber that. I have seen your truck around here quite a bit. I used to see at ccac a lot and everyonce in a while at the car show.

That's it! I sold it last year unfortunately. I believe it's in WV now. When I get out of the marine corps I'm going to build another one. I miss these old tanks.
