Whos got a rollcage?
Hey guys. I am trying to figure out how to do the cage on my truck. I want to avoid the rear bars that come out the back of the cab if possible. I think I need them though. Anyone have pics of a setup that looks good? I am going to run a full cage and may even tube chassis.

My buddy with a V8 S10 extended cab just had a cage done in his truck. It is more like a 4 point bar, with two bars going straight out the back, then turning and going down. If you want to follow the letter of the rule, it's impossible to do with out the tubes out the back. But for your own street hero, you can do a cage without the bars out the window. It's just in a race vehicle, the bars from the hoop past the rear suspension reinforce the entire chassis significantly.

Rollcage
Cory you will have to have the bars out the back to be legal.I had a full cage put in my truck early this year.I bought a S&W roll bar and had a local chassis guy bend the front part of the cage. The cage fits real tight and also a added a swing out bar. Also had a piece of safety glass cut for the rear window. I had posted a few pics a few months back. Let me know if you need anymore info.

A roll cage is in my future, I've always thought the best way to do the cross bar is to make the front of the dash removable. Then it could be hidden behind the dash. This is easy to do as when the dashpad is removed a cut is made beneath it and the dash will unbolt. How about those pics RICKSRAT?

Pics
Sorry but other pics are to large to post. Will email them to anyone if they would like. Also my cage doesnt have the dash bar.It isn't required if you have a stock firewall.Main hoop is a S&W item and the rest of cage is custom bent. The first hoop they sent was not a good fit so I emailed them pics and new dimensions and they rebent me a main hoop. Ask for Stokes and make sure they bend the new pattern.Anymore quections just let me know. Rick

if anyone can draw up some demensions or a sketch of the roll cage setup, I'll probably need one in my truck once I get my big block built and it. I don't think I'll be able to take too many passes at the strip without a cage.
