Re: Ashtray assembly

Tell a 5 yr old not to touch it, then walk away for a couple minutes.
It'll be on the floor with no explanation. (my grandson won't tell me even 20 years later.) You asked for the easiest way...

I do remember sliding out the ashtray part, and reaching through the hole to unplug the lighter. I don't remember how to get the door out, have to look at it.

Actually this thread may help. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=396334

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

Re: Ashtray assembly

There are 4 screws holding it in. 2 are below the door, and the other 2 are accessed by opening the door. After you pull those, it should rotate out (as I remember).

Re: Ashtray assembly

I have taken the four screws out, but just can't get it to rotate out.
