Front parking brake cable
I'm sure this has been asked before, but all I found on the forums was info on the intermediate and rear cable. If someone knows a part number for a cable that is known to fit a 72 SWB K-10, that would be great. I looked through the vendors websites, and emailed a few (still waiting on replys)
I found this one (very bottom right corner), but their website is awful and I can't order online. I emailed Classic Industries about this one. It doesn't mention 4wd. There is a difference between the 2wd and 4wd, right? I could kick myself for ruining my perfectly good cable while removing the cab

Re: Front parking brake cable
Bill
Inline tube makes them in steel and stainless steel ! I'm going to be ordering the front & intermidiate cables in SS today. My rear cables I'm waiting on because I'm changing to disc brakes, so I need to get that all set up and take some measurements and they'll custom make those. If you order from them I suggest you call them, tell them exactly what your application is and let them tell you the correct part number. Gary

Re: Front parking brake cable
Thanks Gary. I did check Inline Tube, but didn't find that cable. Putting in that part number brings it up though. I just ordered the same, the front and intermediate
I was a little concerned about this though. I put in part # FT4334 and this comes up 1967-68 Front Parking Brake Cable - FT4335 GM Truck/Blazer/Jimmy 4wd Part Number: FT4334

Re: Front parking brake cable
Yeah I got the same thing, so I called them and they confirmed these to be the correct parts and part numbers. I told them about the confusing info !

Re: Front parking brake cable
I just had to call them also. I told them that I was unable to order FT4334 on their website because it kept reverting to FT4335. He took car of my order and made sure I get the correct one

Re: Front parking brake cable
I've had issues with their web site a couple of times so I always call them, review everything with them ( any changes or mods I've made ) and let them
determine what I need !

Re: Front parking brake cable
Hey Bill !
Got my cables this weekend, haven't tried them yet but they look good. You'll need to save the clamp the holds the cable to the cable to the emergency brake peddle assembly and a new seal for the firewall if yours is bad ! Gary

Re: Front parking brake cable
Mine also arrived over the weekend. It fit nicely with only one mod needed. That end piece that attaches the cable to the brake mechanism needed to be drilled out to 3/8" for the pin to fit. Just that and swap out that clamp :-)

Re: Front parking brake cable

Re: Front parking brake cable
I think I know what you mean, the U-shaped peice on the end of the cable that the pin goes into then a cotter pin goes through it ! Under the dash !
