Should I buy this truck?

I already have a 56 chevy 1/2 ton that I am working on, but I have the opportunity to get a 55 1st series truck as well. It does not have a title, but has the original engine and tranny. Body is in pretty good shape, only rust is a little at bottom of cab corners, mostly missing interior and both rear fenders have cutouts where the spare tires would mount. Just the usual barn find on an old timers property. The price.....$500. Would it be worth it just to part out the fenders, grille, doors, ect... Or get a title for it and sell it whole? Thanks

Re: Should I buy this truck?

It's definitely worth it if it's as you describe.

Of course its worth it even if you don't keep it. It sound like a great project find to anyone looking for one.

Don't let it go to scrap! Go get it. You should have no problem selling it as is or parting it out to someone that would put it or the parts to good use.

I'd buy it and get a title for it. With a title I'd think it could go for a couple thousand.
