Template for GMC Eyebrows?

I've finally picked up some fender eyebrows for my '69 GMC (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=595973) but the fenders that came with the truck are Chevy fenders. That means no holes to mount the eyebrows. What's the best way to measure out where the holes in the fender should go?

It is not just the holes. The fender on the GMC's has extra tooling to form a wrinkle the eyebrows set down into. I could measure the holes for you but it will be putting a saddle on a pig experience. Bruce

Re: Template for GMC Eyebrows?

The fenders I have are from a 68 Chevy. I have read here that they are the same fenders as would go on a 69 GMC.

Re: Template for GMC Eyebrows?

Well my 72 GMC came with Chevy fenders and I changed them to make the eyebrows match the GMC hood trim.

Re: Template for GMC Eyebrows?

You are correct. I made a bad assumption that they were 69 fenders because it is a 69 truck. My bad. The best way to find the location for the holes would be to get a pencil rubbing from an existing GMC fender. I could take a rubbing from a fender this weekend and mail to you. Let me know. Bruce

Actually the fasteners slide around in the eyebrows so it shouldn't be too hard to lay out.
