Gauge question

I'm curious. I used the search, but did not find an answer. If you wanted to up grade to the Deluxe Gauge package with the water temp, oil pressure, etc, is there any other way to wire those gauges with out buying the $300 plus wiring harness? I know if you could find one in a junk yard, you could strip its harness, but your still using 40 year plus wiring. Has anybody done it?

All you have to do is swap some wires around on the gauge cluster plug. Go here and scroll down a ways, you will see the writeup....
