Taillight harness routing

I've got the end of the chassis harness, the rear harness on the way, a bed going together, and taillights and a license plate light. How is all of this supposed to be routed under the back of the bed?

Re: Taillight harness routing

The wires for the right tail light are longer so they can get over to the right housing and the rest can go down the left side of the frame. If that makes sense. You can attach it anyway you want to the frame. I used zip ties and made sure it was all tucked up in the frame so it wouldn't fall down.

Are all those block welded to the frame? They will need to come off for you stock cross supports to sit where they should. That tank also looks like it may be mounted a little to high to work with your new bed. Set your cross supports where they go on the frame and give it a check.

Re: Taillight harness routing

No pic, but my 66 fleetside has 5 factory clips across that rear crossmember. Routed from the front all the way down inside the left framerail, and secured with insulated cable clamps. I bought a whole set of them, very inexpensive, at Harbor Freight. Took the time to drill the holes to be sure it stayed in place. PITA, but worth it in the end.

That's an old picture, but the best one I had of the harness. Those blocks have been cut off already.
