Outter Controal Arm Sleeves

I'll take a stab at this.. considering that none of my suppliers have a outer sleeve "without the bushing" already pressed in.
Here's the issue;
I bought a 87 front clip to use as parts for converting my 66 to Disk Brakes and power steering. All the parts are there so I begin rebuilding all the parts I'm going to use. I bought a kit from POL... but as they said the control arm bushing Don't have the outer bushing sleeve... normally, not a issue,, Except as I pull apart the arms I then notice the outer sleeves are damaged... So there's the issue... I'd really Hate to buy another set of bushing.

Does Anyone know of a source to purchase "Just the Outer Control Arm Sleeves"?

Post a pic of what you are referring to as the "outer bushing sleeve". I won't have a new one, but might have an original that is in good condition still.

I'm referring to the out side metal sleeve. The part that gets pressed into the control arm itself. I have the 4 upper sleeves even though there a bit beat to chit,, but I "Need the 4 lower Bushing Sleeves". (but I could use a whole set.. LOL)

We don't have any of those in good condition. They usually get smashed up pretty good when they are replaced. I didn't even know they could be purchased separately!

Never a problem Nate... I have "No" expectations at all. And that IS the issue,, apparently,, you Can't buy the outer sleeve without buying the whole bushing.. so if you cant buy the outer sleeve,, why on earth would POL and others sell a bushing without a outer sleeve?
It has me stumped.. so I guess I'll just spend the bucks and buy another set of bushings

Were your POL bushings Polyurethane?
I think Most take a torch and burn the rubber out of the original bushings and just press in the aftermarket poly insert.
Personally I would just buy the complete bushing.

The energy suspension bushings come with new outer sleeves. That's one reason why I went with them so if I tore one up on removal I wouldn't be in this predicament...

It's what normally happens when you use used parts to convert from. Normally I just buy MOOG set's and press the old out and press the new in. BUT! In this application I was going to press the inner sleeve out then press the rubber bushing out, then press the POL Poly bushings in... when I saw the lower arm had the outer sleeve split I was out of luck.

Not a real big issue.. a set of upper and lower bushings and inner and outer wheel bearings cost me $93.00 so I'm good to go
