Michigan Newb

Hi there. My name is Erich, I’m in southern Michigan, and I’m new to the forum. I’ve visited the site numerous times over the last few years and finally decided to join. Even tho I’m a Newb here, I am not new to Chevy trucks by any means, having owned numerous over the last 25 years. Prior to my recent purchase of a 1949 3100 project, a 1970 C-10 was the oldest truck I had owned.

Work on my “new” truck probably won’t start till sometime next summer, but I’ll be sure to start a build thread when that happens. Until then, I’ll just browse the topics here, absorb ideas, and appreciate the mad skills of many members on this board.

Re: Michigan Newb

Welcome.

The '49 looks sweet. I'd rock it just like it is.

Well...I say that, anyways. Then I went and fixed mine all up....

(lol)

Re: Michigan Newb

Looks great! Put on some photos if the rest looks as good as this one it will be a great "patina" truck. Love the grill, that is one thing I am missing is a old factory chrome grill. I had mine powder coated and am not happy with it. Will probably buy a NOS chrome.
