Re: WTB: 4 flu radiator lower mounts
Not sure if you want to go this route or not but when I converted my '71 4x4 to a 4 core radiator I used two upper mounts and removed the "saddles" from them by drilling the spot welds. Then drilled a hole in each and used a Phillips self tapper screw with a low flat head to mount to the rad. support. Also had to notch the rad. support lip because the lower support is larger than what was stock using the 3 core mount.
If interested I have two pair of the upper mounts with rubber cushions. Can bead blast, prime and paint if wanted or just as they are. $40 for the pair plus shipping.

Re: WTB: 4 flu radiator lower mounts
The factory 4 core radiator trucks have a relief in the area where the lower radiator brackets go due to their length. Not a big deal as you can notch the area but there is a difference. I think Gary was just letting you know so you wern't surprised if you tried to put them in and it seemed fishy.

Re: WTB: 4 flu radiator lower mounts
You beat me to the reply Mike, thanks for the explanation. The four core mount or saddle being a bit longer needs a small notch cut in the rearward (engine side) of the radiator support. The support has a small ridge of metal that interfers with the longer four core mount. Was not a big deal at all, a little air grinder work and if fit fine. I loose mounted the radiator to locate the mounting area, marked, drilled a couple holes and used the Phillips self tappers to mount. The upper mounts fit fine with the extra radiator width. Hope that helps.

Re: WTB: 4 flu radiator lower mounts
Thanks to everybody for your posts and info - I called fellow long time member JQ-72 (you all know him I'm sure) to ask about the notching required etc and incidentally he was standing in a salvage yard looking over a 72 Highlander long box truck someone carried to crush and believe it or not, it happened to have these darn 4 core supports still on it - so he is grabbing them for me as we speak - just one of those lucky days I guess. Very much appreciate you guys jumping in so fast though - thank you
