AVS shaved door kit

I recently replaced my solenoid door openers with the AVS openers & remote system. http://www.avsontheweb.com/home.php?cat=138
I hadn't heard anyone using them but their selling points sounded pretty good...lower current draw, quieter, and could open any door. The last one was a big point because changing the weatherstripping made my driver hard to open with the solenoid. My cargo door solenoid was rusted closed which apparently is a common problem for them when moisture is present.

I wasn't thrilled with AVS' technical knowledge since they couldn't tell me how much current they needed. However, they provide a prompt delivery and the install wasn't too bad. I had to use a nut as a spacer (or standoff) from the door, but that isn't bad.

In all, I'm pleased and recommend them over solenoids...once you start needs the heavy duty ones (>30#).
