69 camaro clip
Question for frame/clip experts here. I have the ability to pick up a 58 frame with a 69 camaro clip and a 10 bolt camaro rear on it. I wonder if its a good deal or not, idea about the clip? Bam? This one section looks questionable. please comment?

Re: 69 camaro clip
well, I turned the clip down as I thought it was a bad clip weld. I was hoping Bam or someone could tell me what could be done to reasonably salvage it without cutting it apart totally. I wondered why the bottom part of the clip was cut off as that sorta comprimized the strength of the weld? I am novice but thats seems apparent to me. Its just I was going to jump on the frame as its a great price....someone with experience...some advice? do I run away from this or try to salvage it as it will make my build easier in the long run.

Re: 69 camaro clip
I'm not sure you can get them anymore, haven't seen them for sale in a long time.

Re: 69 camaro clip
That's good to hear! Can you post a link to their site? When do you think you might order one?

Re: 69 camaro clip
The crude welds would scare me on that. I ran two rigs with rear steer 67/69 clips and both drove great. The only issue is that connecting the steering can be an issue with the tight quarters. The other issue is that almost all of them are drum brake and you have to do a brake swap to have disks.
