OK, I had the 68 out today and..
I got a crazy vibration in the front end on the passenger side at about 40 mph. As soon as I hit the brake pedal it eased up and quit once I got under about 25. About 10 minutes later it did it again only slightly worse, since I was only about 5 miles from home I headed there. I am sure the front end parts are worn out but I don't have any knowledge of what parts I should look into ordering and replacing. I do have a "bible" to help with the repairs if anybody can point me in the right direction. Also I wanted to order some new shocks if anybody has any recommendations for reasonably priced stock replacements.
Thanks again for your help everybody! I really appreciate it. I was hoping to get some more miles on the old girl this year. |

take the front right wheel up off the ground and see if you can move the wheel back and forth at the top. easiest way to check the wheel bearings. wheel bearings are a pretty cheap and easy fix

I was having a similar experience and it turned out being broken cords in a fairly new tire. It had a big lump in the tread in that area. Just something else to check on. LockDoc

This tire came off the front of The Burb. Both of the front tires had the same problem on a 400 km trip. Did I ever think the front end was coming apart!
