Part ID - small plate bolted to chassis

Can anyone tell me what this is used for?





The original was pretty much ruined, but I had my body guy make up a new one when he repaired the chassis.

It's a piece that sits between the lower rail of the chassis, and one of the rear cross braces. I removed it as I needed to repair the frame under that section, but have no idea what it's for. I don't recall removing anything from it during the tear-down.

Russ, Ron here. In your photo there is a cross brace missing but basically its the hard mount on the frame for your pan hard bar. Here are some pix of mine.
first one,left side of truck looking rear wards.
second one,same view but from more overhead.
third one,from left side looking to right side.
forth one, looking straight up.
i do hope you still have that bracket?
fifth one, that thing that lets all the smoke out of my tires.

G'day Ron. Thanks for the info, I removed the panhard bar so long ago I didn't remember that's what it was for

Yes I did keep the bracket. Simply had to remove it so I could repair this underneath it
