where do you guys get your engine mounts?

Im swapping in a big block in my 69 c10 and i was going to order some mounts from lmc but there has to be something cheaper than 160 bucks. Where do you guys get your mounts from. i heard i can use small block ones and drill them out? is that correct? If so im guessing they are cheaper. I would try it with mine but they are in bad shape. Thanks in advance.

I've always gone to my local NAPA to get commonly available parts like that

Re: where do you guys get your engine mounts?

I have called all the auto parts stores in my area and none can get them. They carry small block mounts that are very cheap. Should i just get those and modify them to work with my big block frame stands or am i better off paying 80 bucks apiece for the big block ones from lmc?

Re: where do you guys get your engine mounts?

Well i checked out prothane and the mounts looked different. They probably were fine, i think thats what i ordered when i did my chevelle. With no luck anywhere else i decided to just go with lmc and get the right mounts. Thanks.
