School me on '60-66 half-ton suspension
I know some of these trucks had torsion bars up front for a few years, I've heard some had coils and trailing arms out back... Which years had what? Were certain setups optional for certain years? I'm looking into buying a '60-'66 Chevy/GMC half ton and I'm curious about what was available and when, suspension wise. Ideally, I'd like to find a truck that came with coils at all four corners to make lowering it that much simpler. A long shot, I'm sure. Just trying to educate myself. Thanks in advance!

For coils all 4 corners you need 63 to 66 Chevy. Lots of good info in the 60 to 66 section. Come on over and visit.

Re: School me on '60-66 half-ton suspension
60-66 had trailing arms or leaf, TA's are more prevalent though. all years had 4 corner coils unless there was leafs out back. Leafs were more GMC than Chevy
60-62 had torsion bar front suspension 63-66 had no torsion bar Hope this helps!
