Antique Snowmobile

I've got a collection of Hus-ski snowmobiles. The ones pictued are 1966 models, the last year that they made them.

Here are some before and after pictures of one that I restored.

Here is one that I put a 13hp Honda 4 stroke engine in. The original engine is a JLO 9hp 2 stroke.

Re: Antique Snowmobile

I grew up in Maine and have never seen one of those type machines. How good are they in the really deep powder snow? Are they just good transportation in the snow or do they have the ability to go fast as well?

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the compliments everybody.

Alsriv2, They are not very fast, but they are fun on narrow winding trails through the woods. They are not the greatest in really deep snow, but they are better than some. In the deep snow, I would say they go about as good as a late 60's bubble nose Ski-Doo, if you are familiar with them. Where I live, we get a lot of "lake effect" snow off of Lake Superior, so the snow tends to get pretty deep some winters.
