need camshaft help!
Ok i know there are many threads on this subject and i apoligize. But ive never went this deep into an engine and wanted to be clear.i have a '72 gmc c2500 with a stock 350 and quadrajet 4 bbl. It is my daily driver and i want to change the camshaft and give it alil more thump and go but dont want to over do it.gas milage would be good but lets be honest its a brick so nothing great is expected. What is a good came for it? What duration, lift, flat tappet, hydralic roller? Also what else would i need to change besides bearings if i want a different cam?

Re: need camshaft help!
Here are the spec's on mine, Comp Cams HE 268. It was a kit that included springs, retainer, lifters, and cam. Here is how it sounds.

Re: need camshaft help!
I put the part number into Summit's web site and the cam came right up. I would call Summit or Jeg's and tell them what you are looking for and they can help out. Mine is a BB so the number will be different for your application. Don't use regular oil with an additive, use Comp Cams break in oil for the 20 minute break in period once installed.
