55 second series grill removal
Starting the drivetrain replacement in my 55. I was going at a pretty decent pace on deconstruction when I got to the bottom bolts on the grill. Middle 3 no problem. Outside 2 im wondering to myself how the hell do these come out.

Re: 55 second series grill removal
It's right above the frame on both sides. And one hell of a tight spot.

Hard to tell by the pictures. Wobbly socket maybe?
Where there's a will there's a way.

Re: 55 second series grill removal
8 bolts hold the whole front clip on; 2 lower rear fender, lower rear inner fender, upper rear fender and core support
the front clip comes of in one piece, 55-7 can leave the hood in place, 58-9 hood is integral to clip and needs to be removed then the front end is a lot easier to disassemble, you'll probably figure the re-assemble sequence through dis-assembly someone posted a factory assembly pic a while back of the front clip being installed in one piece
