Front springs for C20 with 350cu

After a ton of research I'm confused.

What is the MOOG spring that is equivalent OEM front spring for a 1969 C20 with a 5.7L? My old springs have a tag that shows 3935894, which equates to either a MOOG 6102 or 6104.

So what is correct?

For whatever it's worth, Rock Auto lists 6104 as the heavy duty replacement. They do not list 6102 at all. They have one pair of 6104 left at $45. Perhaps 6102 is the standard lower rated spring. That numbering protocol would be consistent with that used with the Moog rear springs they list. In other words, 6101=L.D. rear and 6103=H.D. rear.

Small blocks got lighter duty springs than big blocks got. WES

Go to napa website. They give spring height, outside and inside diameter, coil diameter and spring rate in each description. Very useful for all kinds of stuff.

I decided to go with the 6104 since I could get them local at a great price. Wish me luck.

What is the best method to install front springs? Floor jack and spring compressors?

I don't know about best method but it can be done with a pair of floor jacks and jack stands... you have to take the ball joints apart, I'm guessing with a spring compressor you don't have to knock the balls apart to get the spring out... always respect the spring under pressure whatever you do...
Might not be a bad time to replace the ball joints while your at it if they are original or high mileage.
