What to do with parts truck when done?

OK ... what do y'all do with your parts trucks when you've taken everything off that you need?

If there was an emoticon of a cart in front of a horse I would put it here ->

I have a bill of sale but no title.

My plan is to use disk brakes (entire front end), rear end, engine, seat, PS, PB, auto-trans cross member, and a few odds and ends. I will probably put my 1970 front end and rear end on it so it will roll.

I will not use any body parts or the frame.

What do you do with the leftovers?

You can become a subscribing member here and post your leftovers on the parts board.

You can scrap stuff too.

I didn't think the scrapper would take a vehicle without a title...

They will if it's cut up in pieces

If you want it gone, post it on craigslist for free....I guarantee you somebody will come and get it.

Hmmm. Probably right. I'm used to the locals I've dealt with over the years cleaning up my folks place of all my extras. Suppose laws are a little tighter now. What if it was cut up?

Re: What to do with parts truck when done?

Scrapped a 76 w no title. As long as the vehicle doesn't look stolen they don't care around here. I grabbed all of the parts I wanted, sold engine and trans, scrapped the rest. Fun fact, water (gas tank) and bondo (most of the body) scrap for just as much as steel...

Re: What to do with parts truck when done?

In Texas you can apply for a permit (?) to allow you to scrap a vehicle with no title. It goves the state someone to come after in case its stolen. I believe its $20. I wonder if your state has something similar.

Imo, it isnt worth the time to cut one up. I would post it for free

Re: What to do with parts truck when done?

The law in Ky is anything over ten years old can be scrapped. No title required.
