Converting a rearend

My Dad and I are converting a rearend to fit a leaf spring truck. I almost bought some spring perches from one of the venders here but then had an idea. We went down to the local trailer supply house and picked up a set for $5.00 (better than $49)! They are heavy walled (1/4") and made to fit a 3" axel tube.

I'm not tring to flame any vender here as they do not match the factory ones. So I can see where a pureist would want the ones that look factory for the factory look.

Also, this may be a common thing that everybody does. Just wanted to give a option when doing this conversion.

Later,
Chad
