our 67 GMC powered with a 57' engine

Well I bought a power plant for the wifes 67 GMC project. It's an original but rebuilt 283 from a 57 Chevy Bel Air. It only has 300 Miles on the rebuild, and I know the rebuild was done properly because a buddy of mine is the one that did it The previous owner had it rebuilt, dropped it into his 57, broke it in and then decided to go with a ZZ3 direct from GM instead. I have pics of this guys 57, but forgot to bring my camera with me to upload the pics. So I should have them for you tomorrow. But here is a quick pic of the engine itself. It's a bit dusty from sitting in his garage for the past year or so.

Im glad that is working for you Dubie When I was 16 or 17(many yrs ago!), I helped a buddy skin some knuckles on his '57....they ran front mounts (brackets right of the front of the block, that sat on rubber biscuits). Those old blocks didnt have the bosses on the sides for the later style mounts. Good luck with the project (s)......crazyL

Yeah, he broke the engine in after the rebuild and then decided to swap it out for a crate engine. The only thing this 283 is missing is the distributor and wires. But it's gonna have HEI on it anyways
