69-72 bucket seat console

Hey guys I'm looking at purchasing a set of buckets with a console. The console has a crack. Are the consoles repairable? Can you paint them a different color. Anyone ever restore the consoles?

Thanks

Re: 69-72 bucket seat console

Hi Neighbor, They are highly restorable. Disassemble, strip it down with some lacquer thinner and some steel wool. Prep and paint. I think that crack and whole is in a place where it will be nearly hidden by the seat and can be repaired to a point that it will it will be unnoticeable. Repaint it any color that suits your fancy.
