Re: Brake pedal circlip
I still haven't figured out what year truck you have. Could put a pic in your avatar or add the info in your signature. I am assuming its a 47-55 because the TF do not have a circlip in the brake pedal assy. I don't have a AD assembly manual.

Re: Brake pedal circlip
I would think any local ironmonger would have a proper clip

Re: Brake pedal circlip
I'll delete this post if you tell me you knew he lives in Great Britain.
It would probably be Whitworth measurements

Re: Brake pedal circlip
His location says UK. If its an AD is should be a standard size clip but a metric or whitworth should be able to be tweeked to fit

Re: Brake pedal circlip
Our circlips over here in the UK are too small on the outside. It fits in the groove of the shaft but allows the top hat to slide over it

Yoshi: Measure the shaft diameter. Let me know that and your address. I have a bunch of clips and could mail you one.

Re: Brake pedal circlip
Some body in England needs to start stocking US parts, this is like the fourth thread where someone in UK or Europe is looking for stuff I can walk down the street and buy for pennies. For the cost of shipping one clip you could get a assortment of cerclips, brake nipples, door hinge bolts, etc, etc...

Re: Brake pedal circlip
I'd imagine that there are sources but they may not be well known outside a circle of collectors.
I went out and measured one I have. The Clip looks like this installed Clip retainer and spring I measured the shaft but don't think my caliper got down in the groove right to get and accurate measurement. Here is a link to Roto Clip which has a branch in the UK. What I suggest is downloading the catalog, figuring out which clip you need and then contact them and ask who their retailer is that is close to you. https://www.rotorclip.com/Rotor_Clip_Limited.php

Re: Brake pedal circlip
I have been told I am not too bright, but it looks like a flat washer and cotter pin would work better.
That clip just looks unreliable, to me.

Maybe a "E" clip or a external snap ring would hold the peddles on

Re: Brake pedal circlip
The photo was interesting, as it showed a direct comparison, of the two styles.

Re: Brake pedal circlip
I'd look at a snap ring or drill for a cotter pin and washer too. Not much lateral force, mostly rotational. Somewhere there is a redneck truck running around with it just held on with bailing wire because the clip rusted out and that is what he had....
