Heater air distributor assembly

So I removed the heater air distributor assembly (the big black plastic piece that has all the flaps built into it) from inside the cab of my 86 C10 just to find out that the PO chopped this thing up and now I cannot get the assembly completely apart. Since it was already cracked I was able to get the heater core out.

Does anyone know where you can buy a new heater air distributor assembly?

Its an AC type.

Re: Heater air distributor assembly

There should be plenty available at junkyards. I am not sure which model years are interchangeable - maybe Keith can help with that information. Also, I don't know if Suburban air distribution boxes are interchangeable. If you have no luck in your local junkyards you can post a WTB in the parts for sale section of this forum. Be advised that the vacuum actuators are also parts that might need replacement, and you should check to make sure that the doors actually work and that the foam is not completely shot on them.
