Need help with c-notch

So I'm ready to take on a new project and want to do a cnotch in the frame. I was having a hard time trying to do a search on the forum for a tutorial. Can I do this without taking the bed off? Hoping to find a good step by step process. Thanks!

This thread has a lot of pictures. I did a CCP C-notch with the bed still on, it's doable, but takes some ingenuity.
