New-Northern Ca- 1966 c10 longbed

New on here form San Franciscio. I picked up a 1966 c10 long bed last week for a father son project with my dad. I have mostly owned Fords, 2 Falcons and a 1950 Ford truck. Wanted a Chevy this time around.

The c10 is in okay shape, needs a new tranny, and some TLC. I got it for a pretty good price so that stuff doesnt bother me.

It has a sbc 350 and auto trans (wish it was manual).
Someone installed disc brakes of what origin I do not know.
I am pretty sure the steering column has been changed as well. I have to change that steering wheel.

Tanking it down to my dads in Orange County next week so we can give it a full shake down.

Jesse

Thanks! and thank you to 70LonghornCST

Did a minor tune and got it running this week. Good news, it didnt need a transmission!

Found that the rims just do not work on it at all (because if the front disc brake mod the previous owner did). I didnt like them anyway. The control arm off the disc brake is rubbing the 16in rim. Installed a 17in rim and all is good. Still researching a steel rim to use but the fj wheels I have seen that some use look pretty good.
