What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
I got quite a lot accomplished this week got the bed off the chassis and onto a trailer for the impending trade. I got the cab mounted on the frame and the whole thing loaded onto the trailer to get to the shop for sanding and paint and I pretty well got the fenders and nose prepped for paint. pics in build thread
How about you all?

Re: What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
All I did was install a new oil pressure sending unit after searching the four corners of the earth for a new 45* 1/8in pipe fitting to replace the one I broke off in the block trying to remove the old one.

Re: What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
Dropped the driveshaft out of the 77, new U joints, took about a cup of caked grease and dirt off (the underside of this truck was sprayed with gease before it moved into the gravel pit), started it (2nd time in 4 years), drove it around the yard and put it back in the barn. Put my 99 in the barn until I get ambitious and look at the oil pump.
pretty dismal truck week!

Re: What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
I put my new tail light lens and buckets on my 82 K5 Blazer ( even though none of the lights work right ) and tonight I will be putting it into storage so I have to fill it with gas and put a bit of air in the tires.
Other than that, I got all the leaves off the lawn so now it looks like green carpet, clean as a whistle. I also ran new wiring on my ATV trailer. RIZ |

This weekend remove the stock intake manifold and carb. Replaced with some elderbrock units. Runs a lot better.

Re: What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
I didn't get anything done this week, but I think I got a fair amount done before the onset of winter in Alaska.
Rear brakes, new shoes/wheel cylinders/rust control on all components/speed bleeders and a bleed and balance on the system. Driveshaft, new front shaft CV joint/U-joint/greased the whole unit Guage cluster, new circuit board, new lights, added tach, traced and tested all gauge signals and got most of the guages working. new tires Manual choke installed There's still a ton of things to do, but I'm comfortable with the progress so far.

Moved the cab from the barn to the garage and ordered some Dirty Dingo mounts for my LSx build. Mike

Re: What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
Got my two replacement coil packs I broke, the IAC valve and TPS (everything AC Delco or Delphi). Also realized the screws are some oddball size, got those coming in the mail tomorrow. If that's the case I plan on having it done by the end of the day.

Re: What did you get done 10/25/14 edition
Received all the parts for my transmission swap, replaced the fuel pump, learned I needed a regulator so I got one of those, found a potential electrical headache, and started getting quotes for my ring and pinion swap. Not much accomplished work wise but it's all stuff that needs to happen before the wheels are in motion.
