The Cougarines 1972 C20 Build
Hey guys, I though I'd go ahead and make a thread for my truck. I'd been looking for some kind of classic project for what feels like forever and stumbled upon these trucks. Went and looked at this one and got the guy down to 2k and decided to take it.
Its a 72 C20, 350 with a 3 speed auto and new exhaust, including headers of some kind. 68,000 miles on her and the only really bad rust is in the drivers side cab corner so not to bad. Its had a different bed put on it at some point and was resprayed in the factory color. Since I got it in early september I've mostly just been driving it and enjoying having a truck (My other car is an 06 miata) and I've done a few things to the interior, seat cover, put down some carpet and installed some speakers and an amp so I can have some music. Right now I've got to replace the passenger rear wheel cylinder and source some older style steel wheels to mount some dog dish hub caps I picked up. Once thats done I'm not sure what I'll focus on next, I'll probably lower the truck at some point but I'm to sure how much of a drop I want so that will have to wait. Anyway, future posts hopefully won't be so long winded but that should catch y'all up. |

Re: The Cougarines 1972 C20 Build
Haha thank you! I do need to take some more pictures for sure
Small update: Got these in the mail today and they are farm fresh. There are four of them despite the picture and they actually cleaned up really well. I plan to to sand down the gold bow ties on these and respray them blue like the 69-72 hubcaps. Also turns out it was not the wheel cylinder leaking but the axel seal and its now fixed. As a bonus it turns out when the PO said he had "went through the brakes" he meant he replaced everything so the trucks got new wheel cylinders pads ect. so thats one less thing to worry about for the moment. |
