Man! I just took a complete rolling chassis to the scrap yard last weekend with good arms, got a whuping 30 bucks for it, the arms would've been worth at least that, If I come across another set I'll let you know.

Bilsbowtie,
I'm interested in the arms. Can you post pics with good detail? It's a long ride to your area for me, will you ship?

Thank you,

chevy_fatman trailing arms

chevy_fatman,
Any chance you could still get those Arms from the scrap yard? Can you find out if they chopped them up yet? When you said 'Good arms", did you mean rust free? Any helpwould be appreciated.

The guy at the scrap yard probably chopped them up already and when I said "good arms" was because they weren't rotted and they didn't have any separation in between, they were nice.

I have another set I was keeping for myself, but it seems that I might lose my another storage facilty soon, so I might part with them and they came from a southern truck, I will get pics this week for you.

Paul.

trailing arms

I think I have some. I'm parting out a 72 with nice frame/trailing arms. I need the rear and the front discs. Let me know if you are interested. I can scrutinize them better. $40/pr if you come pick them up (Meadville, Pa. 16335). I actually have a bed w/ chevy tailgate for $200 off of the same truck. A couple of bad spots in the floor, but otherwise good shape. The drivers side bedside is extremely nice).

GOOD TRAILING ARMS

chevy_fatman,
I look forward to seeing those pics, and thank you for checking for me!

Burnsman,
Is it possible for you to post pictures of the ARMS? I will want to look closely at all sides before I drive anywhere far to purchase.
(I have had too many bad experiences buying without pictures.)

Thank you all !!

trailing arms

I'll try to get some pics tonight. I think I even have an odd extra one (can't remember which side). I'd throw it in too. Do you need anything else? Maybe it would make the trip worthwhile if you picked up more than one thing. Just a thought.

Trailing Arms

I have two CA trailing arms still in the box. They were sent East to someone who said trailing arms but meant lower control. Kinda got the back and front cornfused. I never unboxed them from the trip. Email works best

trailing arms

Here is a very poor shot of the one. Too much stuff piled on the other side of the truck. They are very nice. I won't have them out for a few weeks though. Let me know. Thanks.

72longbed,
Your about 2 hours from me. Do you need anything to go with those arms? ie: 71-72 Disc brakes 12 bolt rear etc?
I have an altered chassis that I'm probably not going to use if your intrested.

Will trade for short 4WD setup.

Email me if intrested

Burnsman,
I can't tell anything from that pic. Please try again on both sides. I'm gonna need alot of clear shots to travel all the way to Ohio border for those arms. Thanks

DenneB,
Do you have any clean trailing arms or not?

Yes I think there good. I would need some old arms to put on if I took these off to move the chassis around. That is if you don't need the whole chassis.
I will take a closer look at them if you’re interested.

I would prefer to sell the whole rolling frame.
Is there more than one length made?
Is so which do you need?

Do you need anything to go with those arms or not?

trailing arms

It will be a few weeks before I can get it dug out. I need to get it stripped and hauled off. I'll let you know when I get them off and I will see if you still need them. If not, I'll take them to a swap meet. Thanks.

chevy_fatman,

In all the pics the one on the left is obviously more rusted than the right one. Even the spring on the left is rusted bad. Do you have a better one to replace the rusted arm? BTW, what did they come off of, 1/2 or 3/4 ton?

You see that blue truck they're laying up against? that has been their residence for the last year or so, as I said they 're rot free and not rust thru according to what I've seen around this parts and considering that we're in the rust belt.
They just have been improperly "stored" if you can call that storage

All the "rust" that you see is surface rust and oil stains, there's not separation at all in these arms, I have seen separation in my own '71 trailing arms and it ain't pretty.

They came off a '72 half ton and this is the only set that I have.

Fatman.
