Backup Camera?

I've searched the forums but could not come up with a backup camera recommendation. Looking for a direct wire camera/mirror going into a '71 burb. Wife may be driving it so looking for a cam on this big vehicle. Looking for camera brand and model number if anyone has a preferred unit. Seems like the direct wire units have been getting better reviews? New to the forum and have been getting great use out of the archives! Re: Backup Camera?

I've got one of these on my F250 hooked up to the aftermarket headunit. You can also set it up to a separate monitor. I would suggest a rearview mirror monitor for a clean install..

Re: Backup Camera?

I have been thinking to same upgrade for my 72 burban. I don't plan to use the factory radio hole and thought about finding a screen on Amazon that would fit that center opening, had already planned to put 12v outlets on radio knob holes.

I would search amazon, I put a cheap set up in my 94 K1500 for less than $50 and it works great for hooking up the trailer.

Thanks 04sshd, the price is great on both links you posted. I may have to pick those up!

Re: Backup Camera?

I'd like to put a backup camera onto my Custom 10 truck. I was thinking about an under dash mount for the screen or maybe putting the screen on the driver's side sun visor. That way it'd be out of the way but easy to look at when needed.
