5.3 alt on a 305?
Is it possible to put a alternator off of a 5.3ls on my 1985 305 motor? I already upgraded the stock to a "higher amp alt" from advance auto. I found one on eBay for a 5.3 that's 250 amp. All feedback is appreciated, thanks.

I just got an identical alternator, ran the big red wire to the battery, and the pink/black wire I hooked to the pink/black wire from the other alternator. This is on my GMC conversion van. Two TVs, Nintendo, front and rear a/c fans, radiator fan, sound system. Lots of juice at idle now.
