Help finding the right U joint

My dad had a front U joint going out in his 03 1500 ext cab 4wd. He decided to change both but has now three times gotten the wrong one for the rear. Is there something about this U joint that keeps you from getting it from your everyday parts house?

Re: Help finding the right U joint

Take the old one with you and have them match it up. Took me two tries to get the right one.

Re: Help finding the right U joint

find a parts guy who knows how to use the book. The books have dimensions for the joints

exactly '68C15...not too many axle options for the 1500 but after the first one didn't fit, i would've brought the old one in. Good Luck
