Stand alone Emergency Flasher wiring

guys, I've read all about finding a flarestat kit, and while I would buy one if I had the money to do so, I figured the next best thing is to wire a flasher in on it's own.

The trouble is, that I'm having trouble finding a simple diagram that shows what wires to tap into, or rather how to set up the whole thing.

Has anyone done a standalone flasher wiring system? I'm not looking for originality here, I just need to find a way to wire this with a simple toggle switch.

any help is appreciated! Will have a write up with pictures for a sticky if I can get this done!
