In Canada, the commemoration is called 'Remembrance Day' and it too...serves to remember all of those who died in fighting for freedom and this unbelievably great country in both the WW1 and WW2.
After WW1 the Canadian War Memorial was erected in France and its truly an awesome and inspiring monument (see included pic).

Lest we Forget...we shall not.

...and to our southern neighbours in the U.S, have a very good, respectful and heartfelt Veterans Day.

Re: Lest we forget

For those who have served thank you. History channel has been showing some amazing stories of WW1 and WW2. Some were as young as 16 who lied to join up to fight for their countries. Heartbreaking to see them talk of fallen friends decades ago and it's fresh as yesterday to them. To all vets current and past we're all thankfull to you all.

Re: Lest we forget

My Hero, I called him Dad Lied about his age and joined at the age of 17. He spent his 18th birthday freezing his but off in a fox hole in Germany. I truly wish that people could settle their problems without somebody fighting it out. But until we can Thank God for the Brave Men and Women that serve all of our Countries so that we may have FREEDOM.
