I have a 71 4x4 front axle u-joint that is very stubborn. I have all the clips out, but cannot get the u-joint to move in any direction. Is there a trick to getting those thing out?

Yes if that doesn't work take a torch or a cheap map gas torch the kind you buy at the hardware and start heating up the outer portions of the drive shaft. Get it red hot and they should come out easy. If not do the same and put it in a press. If that still doesn't work ship it to me I have a 250 ton press I'll do it for free for ya.

AFTER SQUASHIN MY THUMB LIKE A GRAPE WITH A 3LB SLEDGE, I BROKE DOWN & BOUGHT A U-JOINT & BALL JOINT PRESS. IT WAS LIKE $26.00 AT HARBOR FREIGHT. PUT AN IMPACT WRENCH ON IT & IT WILL MOVE ANY U-JOINT NO MATTER HOW STUCK IT IS. JOHN
