Talking Anyone running Manual Disk Set-up ?

I don't like the look of the Original power booster and I don't have the cash for one of the really nice new small ones. I was wondering how do the manual disk feel ? Would you ever consider Power ? I think down the road that I may get a smaller booster.... Mabye

mine is manual disc and it seems ok but we will see how it stops with 450 hp pushing on em with the new motor hopefully soon. a buddy was supposed to get me a complete booster and brackets but has yet to show up with them.

mine seems to stop fine. has the same stopping power as power brakes just takes more pedal effort.

Also running manual disc brakes up front. Truck stops fine, but have noticed my right leg is getting bigger than my left.

Manual discs up front here also. Stops fine and I can lock all 4 wheels if I really get on it. Maybe we need a new club. The Manual Discs club

I'm sticking with the manual and will be converting to 4whl disc. I like the feed back through the pedal.

Mine was a manual disc truck when I got it and it was just fine. You really notice the difference if you have a trailer or a heavy load in the box though.

I to have manual discs. It's not bad, but sometimes I wish I had power breaks so I wouldn't have to press down as hard.

manual all the way.... i have discs up front and drums in the rear ...just got new rotor and pads for the front ...stops so smooth now

I have had both and really like the manual better. The power ones on these trucks are really to touchy, and give you that going thru the windshield feeling.

I'm running manual disks/drums witha "power" master cylinder off an '85 1/2 ton truck. I priced a non-power master cylinder and it costs twice as much as the power one. Not sure if it'd make THAT much difference in pedal feel. I'm happy with my setup and left the other two holes in the firewall in case I decide I want power barkes in the future. I used the later model MC because it's made of aluminum and palstic (no rust).
