2002 Suburban, radio with bluetooth ???
I want to get a new radio that has USB input and Bluetooth. I currently have the good original radio and have ON-Star. I would like to find a radio that fills the space like the original and has the features that I want. Anyone here with a Burb or Tahoe with something like what I want? Pics?? Suggestions???

Re: 2002 Suburban, radio with bluetooth ???
I added an iSimple Bluetooth & USB kit to my wifes Tahoe & she loves it.
You can use Bluetooth, USB input, an Aux input, etc. Your phone works thru it, it shows the song info on the radio, and a lot of cool features. The kit I installed basically replaces the option of Satellite radio but I believe they make an adapter where you can run this kit & satellite radio if you want to. This is the kit I installed.... Amazon.com: iSimple Premium Factory Radio... Not sure if you are open to keeping the factory deck & adding this to it or if you want an entirely new deck... just thought I'd mention this kit. |

Re: 2002 Suburban, radio with bluetooth ???
Like you, I wanted Bluetooth & USB port for our 2001 Sub. I never found a head unit that would fit exactly, as the double dins are too big & singles too small. So I just went with the smaller & the adapter plate...super easy, clean install.

Re: 2002 Suburban, radio with bluetooth ???
Thanks for the info, Guys. I went over to Best Buys today and looked at what they have, looks like I would have to go with the thin style radio with the adapter as there doesn't seem to be anything in the original size available. The radio costs about the same as the Isimple setup but with it I keep the factory radio which looks more consistent with the rest of the dash. Decisions, decisions.
I'm going to put the radio upgrade on the back burner for now as I'm starting on a rear axle upgrade on my truck that will take my extra $$$ for a while. |

well i there is one. me id rather have a single din. you also can use the dash panel and radio bucket from a 03-07 truck and run a double din.

That's an interesting thought. By dash panel do you mean the surround that goes around the instrument panel and radio that just snaps on? Also, does that mean that I could get a radio from an 03-06 Suburban, Tahoe, or truck and it will work? I think you can get factory radios for those models that have navigation and Bluetooth built in. Those would look more correct in my dash I think. Also I could find on of those on CL or EBay. Some of the ones on EBay say that they have the theft lock bypassed. |
